13 Races...One Shot At A Triple Crown
As the minutes tick by, the nerves finally get to us. At least, that's how it is for me. On Belmont Stakes day I'll be at my local track, Retama Park, placing $0.50 bets on twenty four races. Two horses a race.
My selections aren't the best but I'm in it for the fun.
Race Two-
1: Kid Cruz (5/2) This horse has a lot of spunk in him and I feel he didn't give his best in the Preakness.
2: Legend (4/1) He is by Tiznow out of a Storm Cat dam. I see nothing wrong here.
Race Three-
1: Cat Burglar (5/2) My favorite out of the field.
2: ?????
Race Four-
1: Ben's Cat (5/2) I was impressed by the Penn Mile and hope Ben's Cat can pull of a win in the Jaipur.
2: Non Stop (50/1) Why not throw a longshot or two in there?
Race Five-
1: Havana (6/1) He's one of my babies. Why would I not pick him?
2: Social Inclusion (7/5) What to say? He put in a heck of a race in the Preakness. Let's hope he has something left.
Race Six-
1: My Miss Sophia (6/5) Trained really well leading up to the race. She has earned the favorite spot.
2: Unbridled Forever (10/1) My Oaks pick. I'm a sucker for Unbridled Song's babies.
Race Seven-
1: Princess of Sylmar (9/5) What's not to like here? She is an amazing filly with amazing fans *cough* Averie *cough*
2: Beholder (7/5) I feel Beholder could do great. :)
